Surrey Hills Wellfest is Neat for Neurodiverse

We aim to be inclusive across the board and as such each and every Wellfest element can be adapted to accommodate any one with special needs, just let us know in advance so we can be prepared!

In addition to that firm commitment we have also brought together a panel of experts to curate a program of experiences, talks and activities specifically for the neurodiverse and their families. We will also have a sensory sanctuary for any of our guests who find themselves overwhelmed.

The timings of the stream have been spread across the day to encourage our SEN community guests to #stayallday.

Heliana Bedoya

Heliana is passionate about wellness, nutrition, and neurodiversity advocacy. With nearly 20 years in healthcare research, she now empowers families through mindful nutrition and holistic wellbeing.

Drawing from her own journey, she shares resources to support neurodivergent families, attends ADHD Summits and Nutrition courses.

Currently, she is training for the Guildford Triathlon to raise funds for the National Autistic Society (NAS).

Nic Davie

Nic is an ADHD mum of three, with a deep understanding of emotional and behavioural needs—shaped by both her personal journey and 14 years of hands-on experience supporting families.

Nic works across mainstream education, home-schooling, and EOTAS, with particular insight into neurodivergence, PDA, and school avoidance.

Nic blends ELSA techniques, counselling tools, creative play, and humour to help build emotional resilience, confidence, and connection.

Whether in a one-to-one setting or out on the football pitch—where she also coaches—Nic creates a safe, child-led space where all feelings are welcome and relationships can thrive.

Dan Jenney

Dan Jenney is the founder of SENturion Fitness Coaching C.I.C., an organisation dedicated to adaptive exercise and fitness education for neurodivergent individuals and those with special educational needs (SEN).

Diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood, Dan leverages his personal experiences to advocate for and mentor others facing similar challenges. His coaching focuses on managing issues such as anxiety, depression, sensory integration, and energy regulation, aiming to enhance the well-being of neurodivergent individuals.

Laura Whittall

Laura is a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and the founder of Kids Talk Matters, an independent speech and language therapy practice established in October

2006.

She graduated from University College London in 1999 and has been practising for over 25 years.

Laura's areas of expertise include:

Language development and articulation in children with Down Syndrome

Oral motor difficulties affecting feeding, communication, and articulation

Development of speech in non-verbal children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
